Mr. Ashish Goswami, an Animal Welfare Officer of the Animal Welfare Board of India. Besides this, he is also a Member of the Central Zoo Authority, Member of the District Animal Protection Committee and the District Tiger Cell Committee. He has been conferred the Shreeman Narayan Award for his contribution to Social work. In 1998, he attended the Special Training for Wild Life Care & Zoo Management course organized by the Forest Department. His other talent includes his training in the handling and preservation of rare species of snakes. The ideal person in the world of animal welfare. His other awards are many and endless.

Devoted to child and women's welfare, Ms. Manisha Hariharan, our Marketing tactician and animal lover who also collects funds for Karunashram. She has actively campaigned against the killing of stray dogs and has rehabilitated a number of animals. Ashish’s friend and PFA member, she shares his dream of making Karunashram a self sustainable unit and is actively involved in animal welfare . Based in Mumbai, she promotes Karunashram,handles communications, designs the product line and plans Karunashram's activities. Her other responsibilities include planning various projects for Karunashram & sourcing volunteers among other things. She heads the Mumbai team and has been instrumental in broadening the scope of Karunashram's activities. She is working towards making it an exemplary shelter for animals and an animal welfare organization with services across India.

Dr. (Mrs.) C. Hariharan, an animal lover and respected person in the Medical profession in Wardha. She has been instrumental in setting up a functional hospital in the shelter campus and consistently provides monetary and medical assistance. She is also actively involved in various issues of medical importance.

Ms. Ashraya Ananthanarayanan is our official Child Ambassador. Based in Pennsylvania, she leads from the front in educating children on their responsibilities to animals and animal welfare. Enough cannot be said about this seven year old. At a tender age of seven, her awareness of various social issues and willingness to learn and do things is laudable. Besides learning Bharatnatyam, she is also learning to play the violin. Besides visiting the old aged homes in her area, her vocal rendition of the Nutcracker’s Suite has helped raise funds for the disabled. She has also won the Best Citizen’s Award. She is an avid reader and has published a short story titled ‘Making New Friends’. She is soon to release a CD on Carnatic vocal music. Ashraya Ananthanarayanan sets an example for others to follow.

Ravi Ramchander, our Ambassador & Principal fund-raiser, mobilizes funds from various sources for running the shelter. He is not only a marketing professional but also a trainer. Ravi Ramchander works in the areas of primary education as well.He guides us in our endeavours and is actively involved in all aspects of our work. His other activities include photography, reading and travelling.

All our members contribute personally towards the upkeep of the shelter and are involved in various other social causes
